The International Literature Festival Berlin will take place this year. This year, the 20th International Literature Festival Berlin will take place from 9 to 19 September 2020.
For eleven days, contemporary authors from all over the world will take turns presenting their new prose or poems.
Every year in September and since 2001, the Berlin International Literature Festival has been serving as a platform to present contemporary developments in prose, poetry, non-fiction, graphic novels and literature for children and young adults from all over the world. Political topics and scholarly discourses on topical issues can be debated there, while actively promoting reading and literature education. All texts are read in the original language, with interpreters translating the pieces into German.
Under six different sections will be: world literature, reflections, international literature for children and young adults, speech and memory, science and humanities, and specials. They are presented to the audience in different forms and in different places. Most of the readings, workshops, lectures and exhibitions take place at the Berliner Festspiele, but also in theatres and other cultural institutions during International Literature Festival Berlin Dates, 9th Sept. to 19th Sept. 2020
All special events in the festival are smaller than those in other sections. Among the special events is the Giovani Scritture. This is a cooperation project between the two most important literary festivals in Europe, the “Festivaletteratura Mantova” and the “Hay Festival”. The aim of the Giovani Scritture is to promote young European authors.
Another special event is the “New German Voices“, an evening presenting talented young German-speaking authors. The “Poetry Nights” and the “Graphic Novel Day” are also part of the special section.

There will be all present in Berlin Germany.
